Christmas Tidings

After weeks… months… of anticipation, it is finally here. Christmas. First thing this morning, after starting up a pot of coffee, we opened gifts, Gabriel ripping and tearing through the wrapping as quickly as his fingers would take him. He knew most of what he was getting but still the excitement of finally being able to play with the stuff was uncontainable. After the gift opening I set to getting dinner prepartions ready. Turkey and usual trimmings were on the menu for a family dinner with Steve’s parents and brother and girlfriend. After the guests were gone, and the place picked up, I am in awe of how quickly the day draws to a close, after so much build-up to it. My greatest gift this year is to have some time off from work… so although I’d like to say that I’ll be productive during this next week, I just may sleep through most of it.
